Adaptive Yoga
Yoga for adults who are wheelchair bound or challenged in other ways. Laughter, gentle stretching and breathing are incorporated into a class that offers a kind, loving, supported alternative to the traditional yoga class. Students use chairs so that those who are physically and/or mentally challenged may enjoy the benefits of yoga without having to get up and down from the floor. Caregivers and family members are encouraged to participate.
Series - Pre-registration required.

Back Om
Focuses on poses beneficial for your back. Many of us experience "kinks in our hose", (even though our "hose" is designed "kink free"!) So in this class we explore movements and tools to help us to open to the possibility of experiencing our innate state. Most of the class may be on the floor, and props are used. We explore modifying poses so that you can learn to find the "perfect fit" for you each time you practice.

BLIS yoga
Typically starts with a 20~30 minute guided meditation, breathing, and sounding... followed by some gentle movements to warm up. Often we'll stay on the floor for most of the class, but each class is different and we may find ourselves on the bars. We use a lot of props, as they lend and offer support in a wider range of movement possibilities. Many, if not most of the movements and poses may are different from what you may have learned in more classic hatha and vinyasa style classes. more on BLIS Yoga

Deep Stretch
Mostly on the floor, this is a class suited to students that want to stretch, relax and do a more yin type of yoga. The focus is on allowing the muscles to release, as well as encouraging our minds to be still.

Easy Does It
The class focuses on meditation and basic poses as a way to tap into one's inner guidance. Poses are modified with the use of blocks, chairs and straps so that those who may not be as flexible will be able to enjoy the benefits of yoga. Students will learn to work with and listen to the body and thus develop a balanced practice, internal strength and wisdom. Suited for seniors, as well as those with injuries or mobility challenges. You will get stronger, more flexible, balance more easily....but this is not a quick fix. The important thing is gentle persistence, learning to just float down the river, without swimming or treading water.
Perfect for seniors

Easy Does It / On The Chair
Like the Easy Does It class, but all on a chair! Suited for seniors, as well as those with injuries or mobility challenges. You will get stronger, more flexible, balance more easily....but this is not a quick fix. The important thing is gentle persistence, learning to just float down the river, without swimming or treading water.
Series - Pre-registration required.

Exploring Yoga
This is a three week series type of a class, in that we'll explore one aspect and approach to yoga for three weeks, then we'll explore another. Themes will include things like: exploring the bars, restorative yoga, using more props to support your practice, partner yoga, yin yoga, inversions, hips, shoulders, and so on.... a list of themes can be found in the events + workshops schedule
It is recommended that you opt to participate in all three classes in a particular series, but not necessary.

Flow Yoga/Jay
Jay's Vinyasa classes are a breath-inspired balance of fluidity and stillness. Infused with a blend of intention and freedom, each class is an invitation to access your Self through a creative and organic sequence of poses. Jay's approach is both sacred and down-to-earth. Jay combines poetry, pranayama, meditation, laughter, and inspiration from the natural world and the yoga of every day living. Jay's classes flow, but won't move so fast that you get left behind, as she's more interested in facilitating you keeping track of yourself and exploring your time on the mat as a microcosm of your life off the mat. The emphasis is less on what the poses look like and more on exploring your individual and ongoing relationship to your Self through the poses. You are invited to connect with your body's wisdom and guidance, and encouraged to make your yoga your yoga.

Flow Yoga/Vittoria
Connects breath and movement while practicing yoga asanas. The pace is slower than typical flow classes, and the focus is getting you to practice yoga mindfully. Helps to quiet your mind, inviting you to practice while maintaining inward direction.
Not suitable for beginners unless you are in good physical shape and have no injuries.

Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini yoga classes are a unique and dynamic blend of postures, pranayam (breathwork), mantra, music and meditation, which allow you to deeply experience relaxation, self-healing and elevation. Stimulating all of your body's physical and energetic systems, Kundalini yoga revitalizes, de-stresses, and heightens your creative potential.

Immersion
These healing immersions offer a chance to gather and practice three sessions a week The focus is on healing and balance through visualization, meditation and yoga asanas. You'll find it's easier to drop into this energetic alignment (the "eye of the storm") around thers who are making the same choice...so, take advantage of the 'easierness' of these immersions, and join in.

Meditation
Meditation is really the apex, or the whole point of yoga... so it's a big deal. It's not typically something many in our culture are familiar with, so you may find certain forms of meditation unfamiliar, and so uncomfortable. There are many types of meditation, so finding what "works" for you is important. We'll offer a "workshop" where we'll explore different kinds of meditation, as well as offering specific times for simple sitting meditation, transmission meditation, and laya yoga. You may join in exploring different types of meditations before the BLIS Yoga class on sunday mornings, and/or after th Exploring Yoga class on friday evenings.. These are about twenty minute explorations in which we'll try on different approaches.

Yoga during pregnancy helps you get in touch with your changing body and provides space and time to quiet your mind. We practice asanas (yoga poses) as well as meditation and begin to make a connection with the baby in your womb. Even practicing once a week can help alleviate tiredness, back pain, nausea & anxiety, and can prepare you for birthing and mothering. Beginners and experienced yoginis welcome! Women's Yoga
For women of all ages.... As we mature, our bodies can stiffen and become tighter. Often that happens to our minds as well, and it becomes the way we live our lives. With yoga, we can reverse the aging process and become more open and flexible both in mind and body. Through various poses, we lengthen and stretch our physical body as well as create space & stillness in the mind.
